Silas gets along with everyone he meets and he's genuine nice and caring guy. Despite him seeming responsible and dutiful, he always participates in shenanigans.designation Briggs: Silas is a strategist and works closely with Miles. At the fort his duties are needed in the communications center and strategic room. Often he's acting in field and is part of Casther's squad. In combat he has a great aim and he is capable in hand to hand combat, but his biggest tasks are giving tactical advise to Casther (just so he can throw it all out of the window and do whatever crazy impulsive plan he thought of. To Silas misery, they even work)."I have the most important job at the fort bc it's basically keeping Casther and Val in check and making them talk whenever these two idiots have an argument. Being the adult is hard."

Work

  • Casther: best friend, met in military school, Silas is part of Casther's shenanigans on a regular basis. "If I ever get gray hair, it's because of his crazy maneuvers on missions"

  • Val: best friend, they're gossip buddie (it'sonly harmless gossip, don't worry) "The trick when it comes to dealing with Val is to talk to him and stop before he rips your head off. It's pretty easy, really!"

  • Thea: always is there for her when she needs someone to talk "She's such a sweet girl, but sometimes it scares me how she's kinda a mini mixup of Casther and Val."

  • Richie: not that easy to deal with, but they get along (?) "I have no idea whether he likes me or not but at least I have my peace. It's funny to see him mess with Casther, he really needs that sometimes"

  • Brooks: they get along just fine, but none of them has a clue about the other one's professions "Brooks is Richie's better half and every day I'm glad we have Brooks as his babysitter"

  • Olivier: mutual high respect, Olivier values his opinions deeply

  • Miles: work together regularly, especially if Olivier is planning attacks or defensive strategies. While Miles loses his cool over Casther's shenanigans, Silas rarely gets into trouble (damn teacher's pet)

  • Buccaneer: they don't work together often, but they too respect each others and get along great

Background

Silas and Casther meet at the military academie. Casther helped him out of trouble once and Silas makes up to him by lending him a hand too. Then Silas decided to just stick to him and they became great friends quickly. Because Casther already was at Briggs before, he suggests that Silas should join him to the fort.Silas is the only child of two alchemists. Because they traveled a lot, he grew up with his aunt. (No there is no tragic backstory, I can write characters without drama too, I promise!)

Trivia

• Him and Val live for gossip and they make a little tea party whenever Val comes back from his visits at Central with the hottest news.
• He's the mom friend and Casther and Val's relationship council
• Literally the worst babysitter for Thea. Silas has the best social skills of the squad but he has no clue how to handle kids (typical only child)
